A hundred years after the fire, the Narodni dom will return to the Slovenian community of Trieste.
Between 1904 and 1920 the building, designed by Max Fabiani, was the most important cultural, political and economic center of the Slovenians of Trieste, but also a theater, a library, a gym, a bank, a hotel and a cafe open to the city.
